Promoting Research & Scholarship on the Artist

Our Mission

We are devoted to promoting research and scholarship on the artist Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920).

We are currently focussing on:

  1. Filling a sophisticated, state-of-the-art software system with scientific data; Artificial Intelligence; object info; biographical information; exhibition and auction catalogue references on Modigliani.
  2. Launching a Catalogue Raisonné of the artist, giving priority to the valid yet hitherto unacknowledged paintings by his hand.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • We are holding our Paris Committee Meeting in December 2025. Our next New York meeting is in February 2026.

  • Our team of experts are brilliant, knowledgeable individuals with decades of experience with Modigliani paintings, drawings and sculptures. They work as curators, conservators and art experts. We require a unanimous vote.

  • Submission forms and fees should be sent by 30 November 2025 to allow time for scientific testing. Our Research Scientist (London or NYC)  will use pigment analysis, x-ray, infrared and the latest techniques available.

  • We know of certain techniques that are specific to Modigliani. It is important that you start the submission process as early as possible to avoid scheduling conflicts with our Research Scientist and the Art Warehouse that co-ordinates our meetings.

  • Our Modigliani Drawings Research Service has added Artificial Intelligence to our protocol.
